The V15 Dyson Detect is the best vacuum on the market. The laser detect fluffy roller is amazing, it really helps at highlighting any missed dirty areas. The anti-tangle head works wonders to clean carpet, the V15 is very powerful and removes all dust effectively. The battery is very good and will lasts over 30 mins on the auto function. The new inbuilt crevice tool a great improvement and actually makes cleaning hard to reach spots soo much easier.
The submarine (mop) function on the other hand is a little underwhelming. The mop attachment changes the function of the V15 Dyson and decreases its powerful motors to essentially just a battery accessory. There is no suction being applied by the V15 motors. You must dry vacuum before using the mop function. The mop function is basically an average wet roller. It cleans hard floors relatively well if you add some detergent (diluted as specified in manual), however any tough stains takes more than a few passes to remove and in my experience it was easier just to scrub with a paper towel or sponge. The water/detergent reservoir and catchment is also quite small, which limits the area which can be cleaned in the one go. For my small townhouse it took 3 fills/empty cycles to mop just the ground floor. It would have been great if the reservoir was bigger. Once the water reservoir is almost empty I also found that the dirty water started to spill out of the submarine head and should be emptied and refilled at around 80% use.
Overall, the wet roller function is an ok addition to an already amazing, high quality vacuum.
